Willdan is proud to announce that the American Institute of Architects (AIA) has elevated Jeanne Hunstman to the esteemed AIA College of Fellows for her contributions to architecture and society. AIA is the largest, most influential network of architects and design professionals across the globe, and only 3% of architects reach this distinction. Founded in 1857, AIA is committed to the highest standards of practice for designing a better world for everyone.

"Fellowships recognize advanced knowledge, leadership, and innovation in a specific field and enhance the value and quality of the work we bring to our profession and to our clients," said Mike Bieber, Willdan's CEO. "Willdan congratulates Jeanne on being named an AIA Fellow."

Jeanne began her career as a practicing architect focused on multifamily/low-income housing and senior living facilities. Currently as the Director of Client Relations at Willdan, Jeanne supports utility companies to develop and oversee new construction energy efficiency programs in 13 states.

"Jeanne's deep decarbonization work has had a huge impact on the broader market," said Jason Steinbock, Willdan's Vice President, New Construction Division. "Her leadership in building-focused climate action has resulted in an enormous amount of energy savings and carbon reductions for the public good."

Jeanne's architectural expertise and experience in the built environment bridges the gap between utility companies and the design community. Through this collaborative and multidisciplinary approach, Jeanne carefully draws out the complexities of utility program needs, building codes and standards, and the push to rapidly decarbonize communities. This approach has resulted in programs designed to provide incentives to reduce energy use and carbon emissions paired with training and analytics the built environment needs to accelerate the transition towards electrification and decarbonization.
