Vivendi: earnings of €324 million for the first half of 2023

Sales totaled 4,698 million euros in the first half of 2023, up 3.7% (+3.2% at constant exchange rates and scope of consolidation). This increase is mainly due to higher sales at Canal+ Group (+86 million euros) and Havas (+61 million euros), as well as the performance of Gameloft (+19 million euros).
After a 3.3% increase in the first quarter of 2023, sales in the second quarter of 2023 rose by 4.2% (4.3% at constant exchange rates and scope of consolidation) compared with the second quarter of 2022, to 2,408 million euros.
EBITA totaled 444 million euros, up 7.7% (+8.3% at constant exchange rates and scope of consolidation).
Adjusted net income was a profit of 324 million euros (0.32 euro per basic share), compared with 58 million euros in the first half of 2022 (0.06 euro per basic share), an increase of 266 million euros.
Net income, Group share came to 174 million euros (0.17 euro per basic share), compared with a profit of 491 million euros in the first half of 2022 (0.47 euro per basic share).
' In the first half of 2022, it included a positive impact linked to the transfer of Banijay Group Holding's stake to FL Entertainment (+526 million euros)', the group points out.
