UTair Flights to Budapest Named Most Promising New Destination from Pulkovo International Airport

UTair Aviation's route between St. Petersburg and Budapest has been recognized as the most promising new destination from Pulkovo International Airport at the LED TOGETHER 2013 Awards organized by Northern Capital Gateway, the management company behind Pulkovo International Airport. The ceremony was the third annual event honoring the leading airlines operating from the airport.

After a pause of more than a year, UTair Aviation resumed flight operations from St. Petersburg to the capital of Hungary on April 28, 2013. As the only Russian airline serving this destination, the airline has performed more than 100 flights and carried more than 9,000 passengers since the relaunch of the route.

The popularity of the route is explained not only by high demand from passengers flying from St. Petersburg, but also as a result of convenient connecting flights offered by UTair at Pulkovo International Airport. The route is also popular among Hungarian visitors to Russia's northern capital and passenger volume from Budapest to St. Petersburg is expected to increase in 2014.

UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2013 UTair Aviation aircraft transported 9,625,295 passengers, while the entire UTair Group air fleet transported 10,413,803 passengers. UTair Aviation operates more than 150 fixed wing aircraft and performs flights to 110 destinations in Russia and aboard. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs more than 100 flights daily.
