Gary W. Glessner Joins to Boards of United Bancorp, Inc. and The Citizens Savings Bank

Effective December 13, 2013, the Board of Directors of United Bancorp Inc. appointed Gary W. Glessner to fill an open seat existing on the Boards of both United Bancorp Inc. and its commercial bank subsidiary, The Citizens Savings Bank. Mr. Glessner is the owner and managing member of Glessner & Associates, PLLC, which is a Certified Public Accounting firm in the Wheeling, West Virginia area that primarily focuses on financial statement and tax return preparation. It is intended that Mr. Glessner will begin to immediately serve on the Audit Committee of the company's Board of Directors.
United Bancorp, Inc. is a bank holding company. The Company has one wholly owned subsidiary bank, Unified Bank, Martins Ferry, Ohio (the Bank). The Bank serves customers in northeastern, eastern, southeastern and south-central Ohio and the Northern panhandle of West Virginia and is engaged in the business of commercial and retail banking in Belmont, Harrison, Jefferson, Tuscarawas, Carroll, Athens, Hocking, and Fairfield counties and the surrounding localities. The Bank conducts its business through its main office and standalone operations center in Martins Ferry, Ohio and about 18 branches located in the counties.
