TX GROUP AG Jens Paul Berndt appointed new CEO of Homegate AG
As of 1 March 2020, Jens Paul Berndt will become the new CEO of Homegate AG, the largest real estate marketplace in Switzerland. He is succeeding the current CEO Nick McKittrick who will step down as CEO but will remain a member of Homegate AG's Board of Directors. In addition, Nick McKittrick will join the Board of the parent company TX Markets.
Zurich, 26 February 2020 - Jens Paul Berndt is an experienced marketplace executive. Most recently he has served as Deputy CEO of Homegate AG. Prior to this Jens has held a number of key roles since he joined as CTO back in 2016. In his role as CTO he significantly restructured and expanded the product and engineering teams to make Homegate AG a more agile and best-in-class company. Jens Paul Berndt previously held various positions at Scout24 group in Berlin and Vienna. He studied Medical Informatics in Heilbronn.

homegate.ch is the largest real estate marketplace in Switzerland and has grown considerably in the last two years and currently employs 125 people from 25 countries. It has become more popular than ever with consumers with over 84 million visits across Homegate's platforms in 2019, up 15 percent on the previous year. This growth in audience coupled with continued innovation is delivering even greater exposure for our customers' brands and properties. This has in turn driven 15 percent year on year growth in the number of customers and properties advertised on Homegate, with both achieving all-time highs.
Nick McKittrick, co-founding executive and former CEO of Rightmove, the UK's largest real estate portal, will join the Board of Directors of TX Markets. TX Markets is responsible for TX Group's complete classifieds and marketplaces portfolio. The Board of Directors of TX Markets also includes Terje Seljeseth (CEO of Schibsted Classifieds Media and Chief Product Officer of Schibsted until the end of 2017), from the TX Group Pietro Supino (Chairman and Publisher), Andreas Schulthess (Board of Directors), Christoph Tonini (CEO until 30 June 2020), Samuel Hügli (Head of Technology & Ventures) and Sandro Macciacchini (Head of Finance & Human Resources).
