Traton SE said late Wednesday that it would replace its chief executive and chief financial officer.

Volkswagen AG's truck maker tapped current Scania head Christian Levin to take over from Matthias Gruendler as CEO.

Annette Danielski will become Traton CFO, replacing Christian Schulz, the Munich-based company said.

Both roles are effective as of Oct. 1, Traton said.

The changes mean current Messrs. Gruendler and Schulz will leave the company before the end of their contract on Sept. 30.
