(Alliance News) - Toscana Aeroporti Spa reported Friday that more than 460,000 passengers passed through the Tuscan Airport System in January, up 8.6 percent from January 2023.

An increase, that of passenger traffic, supported by both growth in total flight movements and load factor, up more than 2 percentage points over the same month in 2023, from 79 percent to 81 percent.

With nearly 195,000 passengers, the company points out, Florence Airport recorded an all-time record in January with a 32 percent growth over 2023.

By contrast, with more than 265,000 passengers passing through in January, passenger traffic at the Pisa airport is down 4.1 percent compared to the same month in 2023.

Toscana Aeroporti's stock on Friday closed up 4.4 percent at EUR11.90 per share.
