Shares of industrial and transportation companies ticked up amid renewed hopes for a second coronavirus relief bill.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has agreed to resume negotiations with Democrats over a new bill, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said at a press conference, as reported earlier.

Thyssenkrupp shares rose after the German manufacturing conglomerate posted a more slender loss on the fiscal year than anticipated.
