Thoresen Thai Agencies Public Company Limited announced the appointment of Mr. Somporn Chitphentom as executive vice president, corporate finance and accounting of the company to be effective from 20 January 2015 to succeed Mr. Krailuck Asawachatroj who has resigned from the company. Mr. Somporn Chitphentom has been in the company since October 2013 serving as executive vice president, corporate strategy and actively involved in the financial affairs of the company. Accordingly, he is well positioned to carry out his new duties as executive vice president, corporate finance and accounting of the company.

Prior to joining the company, he served as senior executive vice president at Export-Import Bank of Thailand, overseeing a number of key departments including Investment Banking, International Projects, Business Research, and Credit Analysis. The company also appointed Mr. David Ng to be acting executive vice president, corporate strategy effective from 20 January 2015. Mr. David Ng joins the company from the financial industry with more than 10 years of equity markets experience.

He was most recently Head of Institutional Equities for Maybank Kim Eng Singapore, prior to that, executive director with Goldman Sachs where he had spent most of his career advising clients on investment prospects of companies ranging from conglomerates to banks in the region.
