SCB Let's Do Good initiative establishes forest fire control lines and boosts community food sources following buffer forest management guidelines: Ensuring Human Habitation, Forest Survival, And Wildlife Safety

Siam Commercial Bank actively promotes environmental awareness and social welfare initiatives. In collaboration with the Seub Nakhasathien Foundation and the Royal Forest Department, specifically the Forest Protection Unit at Baan Mae Ka Si, and the Khao Laem Community Forest Committee in Nakhon Sawan Province, the Bank has organized an initiative to construct forest fire protection lines in the Khao Laem community. This effort aims to safeguard against forest fires, mitigate potential harm, and prevent the spread of fires into the community, which forms the boundary of the Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary-an essential Natural World Heritage Site.

Furthermore, in partnership with the Khlong Huai Wai Community Forest Committee in Mae Poen District, Nakhon Sawan Province, the Bank facilitated activities focused on mushroom cultivation in the Khlong Huai Wai Community Forest. This initiative not only enhances the food source for the community forest but also generates income, discouraging encroachment on forest areas. The Bank's commitment to these projects aligns with guidelines for managing buffer forests for larger forest conservation-ensuring human habitation, forest survival, and wildlife safety. Mr.Anupong Malihom, Vice President - Area Manager at Siam Commercial Bank's Nakhon Sawan Area Office, played a leading role in mobilizing SCB Let's Do Good volunteer employees to actively participate in these impactful activities.
