Tekna announced that it has received an order for nano nickel material for production of multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCC). This is the first revenue-generating order in Tekna's Microelectronics business line. The customer is a leading producer of MLCC devices, which are critical components in most of the fast-growing electronic applications, including mobile phones, wearable devices such as smartwatches and health monitoring, as well as automotive electronics.

The MLCC global market could reach an estimated CAD 23 billion by year-end 2024 and over USD 60 billion by 2030. This order is an important step for Tekna towards obtaining approval within an actual MLCC production environment. Tekna's nano nickel powder will be introduced into the customer's factory and assessed for its ability to meet the customer's product quality and manufacturing requirements.
