Macquarie Investment Management Limited completed the acquisition of ValueInvest Asset Management S.A. from Spar Nord Bank A/S, Fynske Bank A/S, Sydbank A/S and others.

Macquarie Investment Management Limited entered into an agreement to acquire ValueInvest Asset Management S.A. from Spar Nord Bank A/S (CPSE:SPNO), Fynske Bank A/S (CPSE:FYNBK), Sydbank A/S (CPSE:SYDB) and others on March 12, 2018. ValueInvest Asset Management will bring a team of 17 professionals to Macquarie Investment Management and will continue to be led by Jesper Alsing, Chief Executive Officer, and Jens Hansen, Chief Investment Officer. ValueInvest Asset Management will join Macquarie's multi boutique equity structure led by John Leonard, Global Head of Equities for Macquarie Investment Management. The transaction is subject to approval from supervisory authorities in Luxembourg. The transaction is expected to close by mid-2018. Macquarie Capital Limited acted as financial advisor to itself.
