FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX Broker) - Shares in Cropenergies recovered more than 7 percent to 8.29 euros on Tuesday. The papers of Südzucker's bioethanol subsidiary thus landed back at their 50-day line, which is a popular indicator of the medium-term trend.

Kapler Cheuvreux recommended the shares, which had recently slumped to a low since May 2020, as a buy and raised hopes of high price gains with a price target of 15 euros. The reduction of pollutant emissions in Europe's transport sector is driving bioethanol growth, the experts said. They referred in particular to the amendment of the EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED III). In addition, they said, demand for co-products such as neutral alcohol is rising.

There is no sign of Cropenergies' expansion plans in the shares, the Kepler experts added. At least part of them should work out./ag/tih
