Subsea 7 : Swagelining named finalists in Oil and Gas UK Innovation award

Today Oil and Gas UK announced Swagelining as a finalist for its Business Innovation Award for small and medium enterprises.
The OGUK Awards is a well-regarded and highly prestigious event within the oil and gas industry calendar. The awards, which take place in November, seek to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the brightest and best businesses and individuals.

Swagelining, the world's leading polymer lining specialist for subsea pipelines, focuses on eliminating internal corrosion, the main cause of pipeline failure. The company was shortlisted for its development of the world's first electrofusion connecter for polymer lined pipelines. The LinerBridge® connector is an enabling technology for the expansion of the application of polymer lining as a cost-effective corrosion resistant pipeline solution.

LinerBridge® is the world's first electrofusion connector for polymer lined pipelines. Made from the same material as the lining it removes the need for corrosion resistant alloy tie-in welding. This reduces connector procurement costs and schedule and allows for standard carbon steel welding procedures to be utilised for pipeline tie-ins.
