Standard Chartered announced that Marisa Drew will join the Bank as Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), effective 1 July 2022. Ms Drew joins from Credit Suisse, where she was CSO and Global Head of the Sustainability Strategy, Advisory & Finance Group, with responsibility for strategy and creating sustainable investment products on behalf of the bank's wealth management, institutional and corporate clients. In addition to establishing the firm's Impact Advisory and Finance department in 2017, her previous roles include Co-Head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets for EMEA and Global Co-Head of the Global Markets Solutions Group.

Before joining Credit Suisse, Ms Drew worked for Merrill Lynch and Kidder Peabody. At Standard Chartered, Ms Drew will chair the Group Sustainability Forum, drive the Bank's net zero commitments and oversee the existing Sustainable Finance and Sustainability Strategy teams. She will report to Simon Cooper, CEO, Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking (CCIB) and join the CCIB Management Team.
