Public Joint Stock Company Gazprom Neft (MISX:SIBN) agreed to acquire remaining 50% stake in Salym Petroleum Development N.V. from Shell plc (LSE:SHEL) on December 22, 2022. Completion of the transaction is subject to a number of approvals in the Russian Federation. As on February 17, 2023 the transaction received government and regulatory approval as Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized the transaction.
