Serco Middle East marks the occasion of the UAE's 49th National Day, by sharing congratulatory messages from their UAE national and expatriate employees, and their experiences of working and living in in the UAE.

Serco Middle East currently employs over 235 UAE nationals, of which 47 per cent are women, working across a range of departments and roles, including senior management, specialist air traffic controllers, government services and even Dubai Metro station masters.

Commenting on this occasion, Phil Malem, CEO of Public Services Company Serco Middle East, said'On this momentous day, we would like to express how proud we are to operate and serve this great nation, the UAE. As a company, we value the opportunities the country and its leaders has given us, both Emiratis and expatriates alike, who are passionate about Serco and who are proud of the work we are doing in the UAE. We are excited to play a role in accelerating towards a bright future ahead for the Emirates and its people'

Shaker Abdulkarim, Revenue Protection Manager at Serco Middle East: 'Wishing everyone a very Happy UAE National Day. Being a senior Emirati employee, I'm able to contribute to the future of my country, through the growth opportunities available within my organisation. I'm given the opportunity to rise into leadership positions and play an effective role in the progress of Serco in various fields. This is very important to me, as it allows me to be a role model for young Emiratis, who are the future of our country.'

Rehan Ali, Bid Manager at Serco Middle East: 'A very Happy UAE National Day. Working in the UAE has been a privilege. It allows me to work with a wide range of clients as part of my role at Serco, helping them to solve complex problems in order to achieve their strategic goals.'

Serco Middle East has a profound understanding of the UAE and region, having been operating in the Middle East since 1947 (more than seven decades). Serco is committed to supporting the UAE in offering the best government services to its citizens and recently announced the expansion of its government services division.

Key to the company's strategy is a focus on nationalisation. Through this, Serco provides a range of programmes, including a newly introduced graduate programme which enables the company to nurture local talent, who are the future of this country.
