Sub: Reply to clarification sought under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 - General Updates, Fire incident in wholly owned subsidiary's Unit at Ramky Pharma City SEZ JNPC, Visakhapatnam

Dear Sir / Madam,

With reference to your Email dated August 25, 2022 and reminder Email dated September 29, 2022, on the captioned matter, please find below the requisite information:

A.Disruption of operations due to natural calamity, force majeure or events such as strikes, lockouts etc (At the time of occurrence):

1. Expected quantum of loss/damage caused: Approximately Rs.3.20 Cr (as per the balance sheet depreciated value as on date)
2. Whether loss/damage covered by insurance or not including amount: Yes, full amount (as replacement cost) is covered
3. Estimated impact on the production/operations in case of strikes/lock outs: It took almost 45 days for complete production restoration

B.Disruption of operations due to natural calamity, force majeure or events such as strikes, lockouts etc (Regularly, till complete normalcy is restored):

1. Insurance amount claimed and realized by the listed entity for the loss/damage: Insurance Claim submitted, awaiting realization
2. The actual amount of damage caused due to the natural calamity or other force majeure events: Refer point no 1 & 3 OF Part A

• Details of steps taken to restore normalcy and the impact of the natural calamity/other force majeure events on production or service, financials of the entity:
  Steps taken on Loss minimization after the fire incident on 7th May, 2022:
• • Usage of HDPE drums and plastic items for handling of flammable solvents were banned in Alivira Vizag site.
  • Dedicated tanks available for storing the solvents.
  • External safety Training consultancy is appointed to give technical trainings on various topics to all the employees
  • "Handling of flammable solvent & chemicals while transferring, unloading, dispensing from reactor, receivers, tanks to drums" new SOP introduced in which additional work permit named " Open handling of solvents and chemicals permit" is introduced and will be authorized by Plant Head.
  • As a part of long term plan on Safety, we appointed the Dupont Sustainable Services for 15 month period to evaluate the better safety measures
  • Emergency escape route will be provided to enter into the block during any emergency.
  • Centrifuges will be replaced with the ANFD's to have a safe work place.
  • Sprinkler system will be provided in the technical area and also the existing hydrant system will be provided with AFFF foam tank.
  • Hoppers/PTS/ Closed charging station will be provided for material charging to mitigate the flash fires.
  • As a long term plan we will be identifying the suitable solution for cleaning of floors and equipment.
