Netflix has announced the imminent inauguration of new headquarters for the production of European original content in Spain. The streaming giant has signed a multi-year contract with Spanish broadcaster and producer Grupo Secuoya, with the latter set to manage all projects produced by Netflix on the 22,000 square-meter Ciudad de la Tele production hub in the northern Madrid suburb of Tres Cantos. In a statement, Netflix said it will take occupancy of three 1,200 square metre sound-proofed theatres in the facility from September, with the option to occupy additional space as construction completes.
