Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (publ) ("SBB") is building 80 apartments in the Sjöcrona area in Höganäs. The houses are built in a factory with a solid wooden frame and with half the energy use of the requirements in BBR.

SBB continues to grow in Höganäs with new build energy-efficient 1-3 room apartments. Through an efficient industrial construction method, the houses are built with solid wood frames and the majority of the houses are built in a factory to be assembled on site. With this method, SBB reduces construction costs and construction time with a large sustainability gain as a result.

SBB is one of Sweden's leading players in building in wood. Currently, 680 apartments are in production.

"It is extra pleasing to be able to present another project with a wooden frame and with a halved energy use, completely in line with SBB's Vision 2030 when the company will be climate positive," says Erik Hävermark, Head of Project Development, Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB.

Completion is scheduled to take place in May 2022.
