LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) _ S&W Seed Co. (SANW) on Thursday reported a loss of $8.5 million in its fiscal second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Longmont, Colorado-based company said it had a loss of 25 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 23 cents per share.

The alfalfa seed company posted revenue of $15.1 million in the period.

S&W Seed expects full-year revenue in the range of $92.5 million to $95.5 million.

The company's shares closed at $4.09. A year ago, they were trading at $2.19.
