Cargo Transport Vehicle Progress MS-11 is Mated to the Transfer Compartment

Today, on March 28, RSC Energia specialists at the Baikonur Cosmodrome successfully performed processing operations for the Progress MS-11 cargo transport vehicle (CTV) mating with the transfer compartment.

The prelaunch processing of the vehicle under the International Space Station (ISS) is being performed at the spacecraft Assembly and Testing Facility (SC ATF) of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

Per the preparatory work schedule by the end of this week the following is planned: the designer's inspection of the vehicle, encapsulation of the fairing, transportation of the Integrated Launch vehicle with Progress MS-11 CTV to the launch vehicle integration and test facility for general assembly with launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1a, general assembly, meeting of the Technical Management and the State Commission on the integrated launch vehicle and the launch complex readiness for launch.

The launch of the Progress MS-11 cargo transport vehicle by the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle from the Baikonur Cosmodrome is scheduled for April 4, 2019. The purpose of the flight is to deliver propellant, food and other cargo to the ISS, which are required for further operation of the Station in a man-tended mode.
