Research Frontiers Incorporated announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced operating loss was USD 528,951 compared to USD 602,581 a year ago. Net loss was USD 527,935 compared to USD 398,981 a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.02 compared to USD 0.01 a year ago. For the half year, operating loss was USD 1.086 million compared to USD 1.250 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 1.085 million compared to USD 1.023 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.03 compared to USD 0.03 a year ago.
Research Frontiers Incorporated is a material science company, focused on the research, development, manufacturing and marketing of vision and light control technologies. The Company develops and licenses its patented suspended particle device (SPD-Smart) light-control technology to other companies that manufacture and/or market the SPD-Smart chemical emulsion, light-control film made from the chemical emulsion, the light-control panels made by laminating the film, electronics to power end-products incorporating the film, or lamination services for, and the end-products themselves, such as smart windows, skylights and sunroofs.
