Research Frontiers Incorporated announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2020. For the first quarter, the company announced operating loss was USD 647,586 compared to USD 562,472 a year ago. Net loss was USD 624,594 compared to USD 803,897 a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.02 compared to USD 0.03 a year ago.
Research Frontiers Incorporated is a material science company, focused on the research, development, manufacturing and marketing of vision and light control technologies. The Company develops and licenses its patented suspended particle device (SPD-Smart) light-control technology to other companies that manufacture and/or market the SPD-Smart chemical emulsion, light-control film made from the chemical emulsion, the light-control panels made by laminating the film, electronics to power end-products incorporating the film, or lamination services for, and the end-products themselves, such as smart windows, skylights and sunroofs.
