PT United Tractors Tbk : United Tractors Collaborated with BPBD DKI Jakarta to Provide Training to the Community on Disaster Management.

Jakarta, September 11th,2023 - PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) has collaborated with the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to provide education regarding disaster management to the Company's ring-1 community. This activity aims to increase community preparedness and reduce the risk of disasters in the capital. In its implementation, UT invited 28 participants from the RW 01 West Cakung Disaster Preparedness Team to visited the Disaster Literacy Room located at the DKI Jakarta Provincial Fire and Rescue Service, West Jakarta.

Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in disasters (United Tractors for Emergency Response and Action), UT is committed to supporting local government efforts in dealing with potential natural disasters and other emergencies. This activity is a continuation program of the Disaster Resilient Village (KATANA), which UT consistently carries out to support continuity and sustainability to form disaster preparedness groups in communities in the Company's operational areas.

This disaster education program begins with a virtual disaster simulation through the Virtual Reality (VR) Simulator. After that, it was continued with interactive education related to disasters, including first aid procedures, handling floods, fires, and earthquakes, and education on self-rescue and evacuation during a disaster. Then, the activity continued with education regarding fire extinguishing by the DKI Jakarta Fire Team through hands-on sessions or direct practice of extinguishing fires with a Light Fire Extinguisher (APAR).

Through this activity, it is hoped to increase public education and literacy regarding disasters to create a disaster-resilient society that can carry out prevention and management in each area in a sustainable manner.
