UNTERFÖHRING (dpa-AFX) - ProSiebenSat.1 is once again making changes to its Executive Board. Christine Scheffler, the manager responsible for Human Resources, is leaving, as the media group announced on Monday in Unterfohring near Munich. After more than five years with the company, she had asked the Supervisory Board to "terminate her contract as of March 31, 2024 due to differing positions on the next steps in the company's positioning".

Markus Breitenecker will join the Group Executive Board of the listed company on April 1. The 55-year-old currently heads ProSiebenSat.1 PULS4, the Austrian TV division. The Austrian media manager has been head of business there since 1998. Together with ProSiebenSat.1 CEO Bert Habets, Breitenecker will be responsible for the entertainment division. His focus will be on the areas of streaming and digital platforms. Breitenecker will also manage the country activities in Switzerland and Austria.

For some time now, ProSiebenSat.1 has been concentrating on its core entertainment business, something that the major Italian shareholder Media for Europe (MFE), led by the Berlusconi family, has repeatedly advocated.

The future Management Board of the broadcasting group will look like this: In addition to Habets and Breitenecker, Martin Mildner will be Chief Financial Officer. Since former RTL manager Habets took over the management of the media group at the end of 2022 and surprisingly replaced financial expert Rainer Beaujean, the Executive Board has already changed several times. For example, the Group and its longstanding Head of Programming Wolfgang Link went their separate ways. Prior to this, the company had already parted ways with CFO Ralf Gierig./rin/DP/nas
