Cairo Amman Bank (ASE:CABK), Al Fursan Investment Group and Palestine Telecommunications Company P.L.C. (PLSE:PALTEL) signed an agreement to acquire 18.4% of The National Bank of Iraq Ltd. (NBI) from Capital Bank of Jordan (ASE:EXFB) on December 22, 2013. Capital Bank will sell 9.9% of its shares in the National Bank of Iraq to Cairo Amman Bank, 5% to the Palestinian Telecommunications Company (PALTEL), and 3.5% to Al Fursan Investment Group. Capital Bank will continue to own a majority stake in NBI.
