Christina Verchere, CEO OMV Petrom: 'Health is one of the areas we chose to be actively involved in, by supporting projects that make a difference for a better life. Statistics show that a doctor from rural areas has 9 times more patients than an urban one, which makes it more difficult to access health services. We are glad that we have been able to help vulnerable communities in Prahova to benefit from quality medical services. I thank our partners, especially the medical staff of the Medcorp Association, without whom this project would not have been possible. The success of this initiative has encouraged us to extend next year the coverage area, beyond Prahova County and to reach 12 new vulnerable communities'.

'Where people can't get to the hospital, we took the hospital to their gate. I thank our partners who have shown that they are responsible actors of our community and have made possible the access to quality, free medical services for the inhabitants of five communities of our county', said Iulian Dumitrescu, President of Prahova County Council.

The communities that have benefited from the services of the doctors' caravan are C?rbune?ti, Predeal S?rari, Salcia, Gura Vadului and ?irna. Community members will be monitored for the long term through the Medcorp Call Center service, where they can ask questions and receive medical advice and where, if necessary, they will be directed to proper medical centers specialists.
