Nespresso, Nestlé's pod coffee subsidiary, has announced a $20 million investment in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to revive specialty coffee by 2026, as part of its Nespresso Reviving Origins program created 10 years ago.

This investment will cover coffee purchases, price premiums, technical assistance, community projects as well as support to help coffee producers access global markets.

Nespresso's ambition is also to help raise a further $20 million to support coffee-producing communities in Kivu, an eastern region of the DRC that has been affected by war for many years.
