European ADRs Move Lower in Thursday Trading

(MT Newswires) -- American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 1.23% lower at 895.18 on the S&P/BNY Mellon Europe Select ADR Index on Thursday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by furniture maker Natuzzi (NTZ), which rose 4.1%, followed by consumer goods company Unilever (UL) and pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk (NVO), which were up 0.9% each.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by 3D printer company voxeljet (VJET) and telecommunications company VEON Ltd. (VEON), which fell 16% and 5.9% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical companies Cellectis (CLLS) and DBV Technologies (DBVT), which lost 5.8% each.

In the UK and Ireland, the lone gainer was medical device maker Smith & Nephew (SNN), which rose 2.1%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies Amarin Corporation (AMRN) and Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP), which dropped 6.3% and 6.2% respectively. They were followed by biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL) and financial services company Barclays (BCS), which were down 4% and 3.9% respectively.
