AT&T, which has been pouring billions of dollars into its fiber-optic broadband network, said it sees an opportunity to expand the network to another 10 million to 15 million homes and businesses.

The network already passes more than 26 million homes and businesses, and is on track to reach its target of at least 30 million passings by the end of 2025, the company said.

The company is now eying an additional 10 million to 15 million locations within its existing footprint, assuming construction parameters hold roughly the same and the government continues to incentivize expansion. AT&T cited returns on its fiber investment that have been better than the company expected.

The company also backed its financial guidance issued in January.

AT&T Chief Operating Officer Jeff McElfresh will address the update at 1:15 p.m. ET Monday, when he will speak at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference.
