March 28 (Reuters) - Brazil meatpacker Minerva said on Monday it has signed an agreement with Biofilica Ambipar Environmental Investments S.A. to develop a joint venture on carbon projects.

The joint venture aims to implement carbon projects in the meat supplier chains in South America, and the projects will result in carbon credits and Verified Emission Reductions (REV) that could be traded in appropriate markets, the company said in a securities filing.
