<_a103a_updated style="display: none"> { 11/19/2021 11:06:58 AM }PJSC LUKOIL announces that the TPI (Transition Pathway Initiative) international climate rating has upgraded its assessment of the quality of the Company's carbon management system to level 3 (out of 4 possible).
The improved ranking is a result of development of the management system of greenhouse gas emissions and of risks and opportunities related to the low-carbon transition. The TPI experts noted the transparency of the Company in relation to the volume of greenhouse gas emissions, as well as the annual verification of information on emissions by independent auditor.
The TPI assessment also reflects the LUKOIL's plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In 2021, the Company presented the main provisions of its climate strategy, which set a goal to reduce controlled greenhouse gas emissions by 20% up to 2030.
More than 100 investors worldwide with more than $ 39 trillion combined assets under management have expressed their support of TPI and pledged to use the results of the TPI assessments in their investment decisions and interactions with companies.

LUKOIL continues its work to reduce controlled greenhouse gas emissions at its production facilities. The Company began supplying electricity to its Stavrolen petrochemical plant (Budennovsk, Stavropol region, Russia) from LUKOIL's own solar power plant (SPP) located at its Volgograd refinery. About 11 million kWh are expected to be supplied annually.
Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Pavel Snikkars, Governor of the Volgograd region Andrei Bocharov, First Executive Vice President of LUKOIL Vadim Vorobyov, and Chief Executive Officer of Hevel Group Igor Shakhray took part in today's opening ceremony of LUKOIL's 20 MW solar power plant (SPP) in the Volgograd region.
LUKOIL has stepped up in the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) international climate change rating by one notch and entered the C List, which resulted from developing the Company's carbon management system.
