Kraton Corporation Announces Price Increase for HSBC Polymers

Kraton Corporation announced a general price increase of USD 330 per MT for all Kraton HSBC polymers. Given the unprecedented increases in raw materials, energy, and logistics, this price increase will be applied to all HSBC polymers. Subject to the terms of any applicable contracts, and surcharges will take effect July 1, 2022.

Kraton Corporation is a specialty chemicals company. The Company manufactures styrenic block copolymers (SBCs), specialty polymers, and performance products primarily derived from pine wood pulping co-products. The Company operates through two segments: Polymer segment and Chemical segment. The Polymer segment consists of its SBCs and other engineered polymers business. The Company's SBCs are engineered synthetic elastomers, which are used in a range of applications, including adhesives, coatings, consumer and personal care products, sealants, lubricants, medical, packaging, automotive, paving and roofing, and footwear products. Its products are also found in medical applications, personal care products, such as disposable diapers, oil additives, gels, and various other consumer goods. The Chemical segment consists of its pine-based specialty products business. Its chemical segment focuses on three product groups: adhesives, performance chemicals, and tires.
