Former Procter & Gamble Co. president Tarek Farahat has been named chairman of JBS. Farahat, who retired in 2015 as president of Latin America selling and market operations such as Tide detergent, takes charge of the JBS board amid a bribery scandal that reportedly involves Brazil's president and other government officials. The JBS board elected Farahat to replace Joesley Batista, who resigned following a reported plea deal. Farahat has been a member of the JBS board since 2013.
