JB Hunt Transport Services : J.B. Hunt Highlights 2023 Progress and Priorities for 2024 at Annual Meeting of Shareholders

LOWELL, Ark., April 25, 2024 - J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. (NASDAQ: JBHT), one of the largest supply chain solutions providers in North America, held its annual Meeting of Shareholders today at corporate headquarters in Lowell.

Shareholders approved the election of each of the company's nine Director nominees to the company's Board of Directors, including Shelley Simpson, who will become the company's chief executive officer on July 1. Outgoing chairman Kirk Thompson presented chairman John Roberts with a special recognition to commemorate his transition to leading the company's Board.

Shareholders also approved, on a non-binding, advisory basis, the compensation of the company's named executive officers described in the company's proxy statement and ratified the appointment of PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company's independent registered public accounting firm.

During the company's business presentation at the meeting, executives highlighted some of the company's key accomplishments in 2023 including:

• 10-plus company-wide recognitions for its employees and workplace, the most in recent history
• 369 company drivers awarded more than $2.6 million in safe driving bonuses for achieving one-plus million miles driven without a preventable accident
  
• A record year for its safety organization, including a 25% reduction in DOT preventable accidents per million miles from 2022
  
• Surpassing the halfway mark to achieving its ambitious goal to reduce carbon emissions intensity 32% by 2034 from its baseline 2019
  
• A record year in operating income for Dedicated Contract Services and Final Mile Services
  
• Launching two new intermodal offerings with BNSF - Quantum and Mexico services
