Japan Airlines Named World`s Best for featuring high quality products and services in Economy Class
JAL has been introducing its award-winning economy class seat, JAL SKY WIDER, on international routes since 2013. The seat features greater legroom thanks to an expanded seat pitch that provides more space for customers. Additionally, JAL is the only airline in the world that continues to adopt an 8-abreast layout for the Boeing 787 seating configuration rather than the normal 9-abreast in an effort to provide innovative products one step ahead of the competition. Based on the survey results, the JAL SKY WIDER seat was selected as the world`s best for the fourth time in the past five years.

JAL has been offering tasty and innovative inflight meal options under the concept of JAL Kitchen Gallery, featured in Economy Class service. JAL offers inflight meals supervised by Chef Masahiro Kasahara, owner chef of Sanpi Ryoron, Shinobu Namae, a Michelin 2-Star chef-owner of L'Effervescence, as well as finalists of RED-U35 (the largest culinary competition in Japan to discover young talented chefs). The carrier also collaborates with famous Japanese restaurants and serves specialty dishes, such as the AIR MOS Teriyaki Burger.

For international flights, JAL introduced the world's first Japanese animation digital book service onboard the Boeing 787 aircraft. In addition with inflight Wi-Fi service, JAL strives to offer an enjoyable cabin experience on its international flights.

JAL is committed to providing customers with the highest levels of flight safety and quality in every aspect of its service, and aims to become one of the most preferred airlines in the world.
