Iwatsuka Confectionery Co., Ltd. (JASDAQ:2221) concluded a contract to acquire Tanabe Confectionery Shop Co., Ltd on May 15, 2015. After the transaction, Tanabe Confectionery Shop Co., Ltd will operate as a subsidiary of Iwatsuka Confectionery. Tanabe Confectionery Shop reported sales of ¥60 million in 2014. The Board of Directors of Iwatsuka Confectionery passed a resolution for the transaction on May 15, 2015. The transaction is expected to close on July 1, 2015.
