On June 26, 2023, ISA, through its company ISA INTERCOLOMBIA, put into operation the UPME 07 of 2017 Sabanalarga - Bolivar interconnection project, which provides a stronger energy transmission system in the region, by closing the ring at this voltage level (500 kV),
thus allowing energy to flow through different paths. This will contribute to reduce restrictions, i.e., operating costs, while improving the conditions of continuity and meeting the demand for energy service in the departments of Bolivar and Atlántico.
In this way, ISA and its companies fulfill the term commitments acquired with the Unidad de Planeación Minero Energética - UPME (Mining and Energy Planning Unit) and the Colombian people.
