Industria de Diseno Textil SA's chief operating officer, Carlos Crespo Gonzalez, will step down in the coming months, marking the latest stage of a management reshuffle that saw Mr. Crespo replaced as chief executive last year.

Mr. Crespo will leave the Spanish group, owner of Zara and other fashion brands, at the end of the fiscal year, Inditex said late Friday. The group's year runs until the end of January.

In November last year, Inditex set out a new management team. Marta Ortega Perez, a daughter of the company's founder, became chairwoman in March, replacing long-serving executive chairman Pablo Isla. Mr. Crespo was meanwhile replaced as chief executive by Oscar Garcia Maceiras, becoming COO and head of sustainable and digital transformation.

Inditex noted that Mr. Crespo had "significantly contributed to the internal reorganization process that began in November 2021."

Chief Sustainability Officer Javier Losada Montero has meanwhile been appointed to the management committee, Inditex said. The appointment of Mr. Losada to the committee confirms Inditex's commitment to sustainability in its own operations and in the wider industry, the company said.
