(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Hochschild Mining PLC, up 5.5% at 70.48 pence, 12-month range 50.40p-175.68p. The gold miner, with assets in the Americas, tracks bullion prices higher. An ounce of gold hit a roughly three-month high of USD1,766.62 earlier on Friday. The precious metal has been boosted by a weaker dollar, in the wake of a cooler-than-expected US inflation reading for October.

----------

SLF Realisation Fund Ltd, up 7.7% at 6.74 pence, 12-month range 5.07p-15.60p. The closed-ended investment company will return 1.5p per share to ordinary shareholders and 1.5p per C share. The total ordinary share distribution amounts to GBP5.3 million, while the C share return totals GBP2.8 million. "The Distributions will be effected by way of an issue of redeemable B shares and D shares to existing Shareholders pro-rata to their shareholding," SLF said.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSER

----------

TheWorks.co.uk PLC, down 11% at 30.64p, 12-month range 26.10p-69.30p. The arts and crafts retailer reports an improved first-half, but strikes a cautious tone looking ahead to the key Christmas period.
