Graines Voltz plunged 15% after announcing a 5.8% drop in sales to 12.2 million euros for the first quarter of 2022-23 (October to December), a structurally insignificant quarter due to the seasonal nature of the business.

"In addition to the difficulties caused by high energy costs, growers, already very cautious about starting production, are under the influence of information concerning the consequences of the early drought", the seed company points out.

In view of this exceptional situation, Graines Voltz has noted a sudden drop in orders and deliveries in February, March and April, and now anticipates a decline in sales, on a like-for-like basis, for the full year.
