SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

HeiQ PLC, up 5.9% at 28.59 pence, 12-month range 24.10p - 109.41p. Recovers slightly after a share price slide. On Wednesday, the stock plunged 51% after the textiles technology firm said its sales in the fourth quarter of 2022 were impacted by a "significant" deterioration in consumer demand as a result of worsening macroeconomic conditions.

Amedeo Air Four Plus Ltd, up 3.9% at 39.48 pence, 12-month range 28.33p - 39.50p. Declares an interim dividend of 1.5p per share. The shares will be marked ex-dividend on January 12.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

Glenveagh Properties PLC, down 5.0% at EUR0.84, 12-month range EUR0.82 - EUR1.29. Reports a strong revenue performance in 2022, driven by its Suburban business segment. The housebuilder posts revenue of EUR649 million, up 36% from EUR477 million a year ago, while its operating profit improves to around EUR70 million from EUR50.6 million. Gross margin, however falls to 17% from 17.4%. Glenveagh also begins a buyback programme to repurchase up to 10% of its share capital. Looking forward, the firm says it is "very well-positioned" to grow longer term revenue and profitability. It currently expects an earnings per share outturn for 2023 in line with its 2022 performance.

PYX Resources Ltd, down 16% at 31.00 pence, 12-month range 28.00p - 82.00p. Receives an initial investment of USD7.0 million from US-based institutional investor L1 Capital Global Opportunities Master Fund, for USD7.78 million worth of PYX shares through a share placement.
