(Alliance News) - Gas Plus Spa on Thursday reported a first-half net profit of EUR18.2 million from a loss of EUR6.9 million as of June 30, 2022.

Total revenues amounted to EUR90.8 million from EUR77.1 million in the first half of 2022.

At the end of the six-month period, net financial debt remained at the low end-2022 levels of EUR49.5 million from EUR49.0 million as of December 31, 2022.

Looking to the future, "Given the current decline in natural gas and oil prices, Ebitda is expected to be at levels close to those of 2022 while the net result to grow significantly. In fact, the net result will benefit not only from the positive performance of all managed activities, but also from the non-obligation of the extraordinary solidarity contribution in Romania, which has already been accounted for in the 2022 financial statements and, based on the regulations currently in force, will not be subject to extraordinary contributions in either Italy or Romania."

"From a financial perspective, the Group's structure will still remain solid and balanced. As a result of investments and the payment of various tax charges, net financial debt is expected to increase compared to the figure at the end of 2022."

Gas Plus on Thursday closed in the green by 1.% percent at EUR2.73 per share.
