Foot Locker has extended its deployment of the Nedap iD Cloud to its Eastern European stores in a quest to enhance the omni-shopping experience. The iD Cloud helps improve stock accuracy by improving how retail staff track and mange inventory.

The RFID tech expansion is now in play across 650 stores in Europe, according to a press release. The footwear retailer initially deployed the Nedap tech in 2018 to streamline inventory management and enhance the customer experience.

Better inventory accurate leads to improved stock availability and reduced stock-out, according to the release.

"Brands we work with are very strict when it comes to displaying merchandise. In the case of exclusive, limited-edition footwear, timing is crucial. The iD Cloud App tells our store teams exactly which items should be displayed and when. This way, we ensure true brand experience and a great moment of shopping at Foot Locker for our customers," Niek Philipsen, director for innovation at Foot Locker, said in the release.

As RetailCustomerExperience reported in September, the footwear and sportswear retailer is tapping InMoment's Spotlight intelligence application to steer all support and feedback streams in a central location, which is improving the customer experience.
