Wide selection of destinations at Vienna Airport: Summer flight schedule features 190 destinations, including an expanded offering in Europe, to the Mediterranean and new long-haul routes
The new 2024 summer flight schedule will soon take effect. Travellers can choose among destinations to the entire world, particularly the extensive variety in Europe and to the Mediterranean. Moreover, the offering of long-haul destinations continues its recovery. Austrian Airlines serves more than 120 destinations, including new destinations such as Boston, Bremen, and Tbilisi, and once again offers non-stop flights to Los Angeles and Tokyo. Ryanair is launching flight service to Rijeka, Olbia, Tirana and Split and serves up to 80 destinations. 29 destinations can be reached with Wizz Air, including London and Barcelona, and Eurowings is expanding its route network from Vienna to Germany by adding Berlin. All Nippon Airways (ANA) will resume flights to Tokyo Haneda Airport starting in August and Air Canada, Air China, Qatar Airways and Kuwait Airways are all expanding their flight offerings. The summer flight schedule is valid from 31 March to 26 October 2024.

Austria's home carrier will fly to more than 120 destinations in the summer season and has added three new destinations to its offering i.e., Boston, Bremen, and Tbilisi. Austrian Airlines offers higher frequencies for sunny destinations in the Mediterranean area and other European cities such as Seville, Vilnius, Chi?inau, Nice, Olbia and Palermo. Passengers also have a wide selection of long-haul flights to choose from. The airline once again offers seasonal non-stop flights to Los Angeles and Tokyo. In addition to the new destination of Boston, passengers can fly to Chicago, New York, Washington, Montreal, Shanghai, and Bangkok throughout the entire year. Passengers flying with Austrian Airlines can look forward to even greater travel comfort, as the airline will integrate the first Dreamliner into its fleet from a total of eleven Boeing 787-9 aircraft to be delivered in the future. Starting in May the new long-haul jet will be deployed on continental routes, for flights to New York starting on 15thof June 2024 and to Chicago as of 1stof July 2024.

In the summer months, the Irish airline offers flights to up to 80 destinations from Vienna Airport and expects seven million passengers in Austria in the summer of 2024. Ryanair has added the following destinations to its offering i.e., Rijeka, Olbia, Tirana, and Split. The airline has increased frequencies to more than ten summer destinations and city trips e.g., Rhodes, Dublin, Malaga, Santorini, and Catania. Ryanair now operates a fleet of 19 aircraft stationed at Vienna Airport.
Wizz Air flies to 29 destinations with five aircraft stationed in Vienna
WIZZ operates five ultramodern A321neo aircraft departing from Vienna and continues to focus on destinations in the Middle East, including Abu Dhabi, Amman, Jeddah, Tel Aviv and Riad. Wizz Air also offers increased frequencies in the summer season to the destinations Tirana, London-Gatwick, Barcelona, Naples and Malaga. Flight service to the seasonal winter routes Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt are being extended until the middle of June, whereas flights to Split and Larnaca will be offered from mid-June. In total, Wizz Air will fly to 29 destinations this summer from Vienna.
Eurowings expands its German route network from Vienna
Eurowings adds a new German destination to its network as summer schedule, expanding its existing German route network to Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne and Stuttgart. With 11 frequencies per week, Eurowings will connect Vienna with the German capital up to twice a day.
Expanded long-haul offering from Vienna
After a nearly four-year interruption due to the coronavirus pandemic, Japan's largest airline is returning to Vienna Airport. Starting in August, All Nippon Airways (ANA) will resume to offer direct flights connecting Vienna with Tokyo Haneda Airport. The Vienna-Tokyo route will be served three times per week. Air China is expanding its connections to Beijing, Air Canada to Toronto, Qatar Airways to Doha and Kuwait Airways to Kuwait. Emirates is increasing capacity to Dubai and will deploy the A380, the world's biggest passenger aircraft, until the end of the 2024 summer flight schedule.
