Climate, environment and social responsibility are increasingly on the agenda of both private consumers and companies. As one of the Nordic region's leading paint manufacturers, we have a great responsibility to steer our company in an increasingly sustainable direction, and every step counts.

Much is new to us, while in other areas we have been on the forefront when it comes to the green transition in the industry. As early as 1970, Flügger built a factory in Kolding for the production of water-based paints based on a desire to provide a more environmentally friendly alternative to the painters. In the past year, we have invested just over DKK 130 million in rebuilding and modernizing the factory, which is an important prerequisite for us to continue to increase the proportion of products that are internationally or Nordic eco-labeled.

Over the past year, we have increased the share of eco-labeled paint and wood stain from 68% to 73%, and the goal is for all our Flügger paints to be eco-labeled by 2030. At the same time, the goal for 2030 is for our production to be CO2-neutral and for 75% of our plastics to be recycled.

You can read more about this in our CSR report, which is the first of its kind for Flügger.
