British tonic maker Fevertree posts lower profit on elevated costs

(Reuters) - British tonic maker Fevertree Drinks posted a fall in its first-half profit on Tuesday, as margins took a hit from elevated glass manufacturing costs despite price increases.

The London-based company, which sells most of its drink mixers in glass bottles, said its adjusted core profit came in at 10.2 million pounds ($12.77 million) for the six months ended June 30, compared with 22 million pounds the previous year.
