Feb 20 (Reuters) - Miner Ferrexpo said on Tuesday that it would withdraw its proposed interim dividend, in light of a legal claim against its Ferrexpo Poltava Mining (FPM) unit in Ukraine.

Last month, the company had said it would file an appeal to the Supreme Court after a court of appeal in Ukraine upheld a 4.73 billion hryvnias ($122.97 million) claim against FPM over contested sureties.

"Until the Supreme Court has considered the application there is a possible risk of enforcement ..." Ferrexpo said in a statement.
