EVA Airways Corporation announced that an agreement has been reached in the labor-management negotiations between EVA Air and The Taoyuan Union of Pilots, and a formal agreement has been signed. EVA Air and The Taoyuan Union of Pilots (hereinafter referred to as TUP) held a dispute resolution negotiation meeting at the Executive Yuan on January 28, 2024. In the end, both parties reached an agreement and signed a formal agreement.

EVA Air agrees to the following: -Adjust the salaries of pilots in various ranks, in addition to the announced salary adjustments, effective from January 1, 2024, distributed in the base salary and duty allowance items: Jet Aircraft Captain: TWD 13,500. Propeller Aircraft Captain: TWD 13,500. Senior First Officer: TWD 11,000.

First Officer: TWD 10,000 -Adjust the salary limits for Senior First Officers and First Officers. -Periodically review and adjust (increase) outstation allowances based on actual needs. Plan not to directly employ foreign pilots as Aircraft Captains unless there are special operational requirements, in which case, the hiring process should comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Labor and the Civil Aeronautics Administration.

The TUP agrees that, effective from the signing date of this agreement until May 31, 2026, no further disputes will be initiated against EVA Air regarding the following three strike-related issues passed on January 22, 2024: Adjustment of pilot salary structure. Adjustment of outstation allowances. Ceasing the employment of foreign Aircraft Captains.

EVA Air agrees that if more favorable labor conditions agreements or collective bargaining agreements are reached with other unions concerning the working conditions of flight personnel, those terms shall be applied comparably to the members of the TUP.
